We Can Preserve Jobs, Affordable Energy, and a Clean Environment with the Keystone XL Pipeline

Nick Loris of the Heritage Foundation highlights how the Keystone XL Pipeline can provide affordable energy, economic prosperity, and environmental protection.

  • In order to promote economic prosperity energy projects such as the Keystone XL must move forward.
  • The canceling of the XL Pipeline will not only take away jobs, but it will also harm the environment as less efficient transportation will be used to move oil.
  • Ultimately, if President Biden does want to build back America his administration must simplify the permitting process for America’s energy projects.

“The inability to move forward with Keystone XL is symbolic of a broader problem with energy projects and infrastructure, generally: the unnecessary delays to build just about anything. Prolonged permitting processes, seemingly endless litigation, and arbitrary political decisions dictate who builds what. Or more accurately, who doesn’t get to invest, create jobs, and build.”
