NET Power reports that it will build a utility-scale carbon-free natural gas plant in Texas.
- NET Power will build the world’s first utility scale natural gas plant that produces zero emissions.
- The company made history last year when it delivered carbon-free natural gas to Texas’ power grid.
- The plant will be located in the Texas’ Permian Basin near Occidental’s carbon capture facility and will come online in 2026.
“NET Power’s transformational technology produces power while inherently capturing nearly all emissions with its patented oxy-fuel combustion and supercritical CO2 cycle. These plants produce clean, on-demand power at low cost and address critical issues of air quality and land use, virtually eliminating air emissions including nitrogen oxides (NOx), sulfur oxides (SOx), and carbon dioxide (CO2).”
