West Warms to Geothermal Energy as a Path to Clean Power Goals

"Geothermal plants provide a steady, on-demand source of electricity, known as dispatchable generation. Why Are Heating Prices So High in New England?

"Constructing energy infrastructure to bring reliable natural gas to New England ought to be a top priority for state legislators. On Tuesday it approved a resolution that 'the state’s electricity forecasts for the calendar years 2024 to 2030, inclusive, show potential for reliability deficiencies if the Diablo Canyon power plant operation is not extended beyond 2025.'"
