- Google has recently launched a “moonshot goal” to rely entirely on carbon-free energy 24 hours a day, seven days a week by 2030.
- In order to reach this goal, Google is partnering with geothermal company Fervo Energy, which will help to power Google’s data centers in Nevada.
- The private sector is leading the way to a cleaner energy future.
“At its virtual I/O event Tuesday, Google announced that its climate intelligence computing platform will be able to shift tasks between data centers to maximize the use of renewable energy.”
