The House farm bill draft includes a provision to create voluntary, industry-led standards for precision agriculture, bringing USDA together with NIST and the FCC to make sure the next generation of farm tech actually works together. If done right, that could lower adoption costs, improve connectivity in rural areas, and give farmers more confidence in using data-driven tools.
