- French-based TotalEnergies and SSE Renewables have partnered to build the Seagreen wind farm off the coast of Scotland.
- The project, which cost $4.3 billion to build, will be Scotland’s largest offshore wind farm and is expected to generate 5 terawatt hours of electricity per year.
- The French gas giant has invested millions of dollars to reduce operational emissions and increase its share of renewable power.

“The Seagreen project is expected to produce around 5 terawatt hours (TWh) of renewable electricity per year — enough to power the equivalent of 1.6 million households – by the time it becomes fully operational in the first half of 2023.”
