To go electric, America needs more mines. Can it build them?

Reuters’ Ernest Scheyder highlights the need for America to build more mines in order to go electric.

  • Currently the vast majority of batteries that power EVs come from China.
  • This current supply chain is a threat to our environment and economic competitiveness.
  • Mining, which has become increasingly safer, can expand in the United States through a more efficient permitting process and through a more favorable business environment.
