To escape China’s supply chain, embrace a diverse clean energy portfolio

  • President Biden has recently invoked the Defense Production Act (DPA) to accelerate his clean energy goals.
  • Relying on the DPA does little to reduce our dependence on China for the rare earth minerals that are needed to create clean energy generation.
  • Instead of focusing on only a few sources of energy production, the administration should embrace an “all of the above” energy strategy that unleashes American innovation.
  • Turning to a more diverse energy portfolio will reduce emissions, lessen our reliance on China, and create a more robust American economy.
