Johana Criter on CleanTechnica reports that Tesla will open up its superchargers to other electric vehicles later this year.
- Currently only Teslas can use Tesla supercharging stations.
- By opening up these superchargers, electric vehicle use could increase across the United States.
- Free market leadership is accelerating the use of clean technologies.
“Tesla’s mission is to accelerate the transition to sustainability, and by opening up its Supercharging network to other EVs, it’s doing just that. Of course, I’m sure Tesla will make extra money from the service, but that is unlikely to be the aim here.”
