Per Tech Explore, General Motors has announced that its Spring Hill, Tennessee factory will be an electric vehicle plant.
- The Spring Hill plant will produce the Cadillac Lyriq, an electric luxury SUV.
- GM has recently renamed its Detroit-Hamtramck plant “Factory Zero.”
- GM has also unveiled plans to introduce its all electric Hummer.
“The company will build the Cadillac Lyriq, a small electric SUV, at the Spring Hill factory. Gasoline-powered Cadillac SUVs will continue to be built at the plant, and it will also get additional unspecified electric vehicles, GM said in prepared statement Tuesday.”
