SOLIS 109 Launches Digital Marketplace for Renewable and Sustainable Solutions

The marketplace for renewable and sustainable products and services is fragmented. There is no platform where the environmentally conscious consumer or company can browse across multiple categories, such as clean energy services, solar-powered products, sustainable food options, or electric vehicle chargers, all in one place. SOLIS 109 is a company determined to change the status quo.

In a conversation with C3 Solutions, SOLIS 109 founder Greg Burrington explained that the company’s mission is to accelerate consumer education, acceptance, and adoption of renewable, sustainable, and healthy products and services globally. To accomplish this mission, SOLIS 109 has launched a digital marketplace where consumers can shop for products and services, learn more about environmental issues and solutions, and discover companies working there.

“SOLIS 109 is a first-of-its-kind marketplace connecting a broad range of individual, residential, and commercial consumers with renewable and sustainable products and services,” Burrington explained. “We have just launched our pilot website and mobile app and are now building a robust vendor base before launching to the public in the coming months.”

The platform accepts applications from vendors who fit the SOLIS 109 model of offering products or services that are sustainable, renewable, or healthy. Currently, 10 vendor categories are available on the site: e-bikes, e-motorcycles, e-scooters and skateboards, hydrogen, solar, electric vehicle charging, water solutions, recruiting agencies, food and beverage, and associations. However, Burrington notes that SOLIS 109 has identified 34 potential vendor categories for future inclusion. Suppose an interested vendor aligns with the platform’s mission and model but doesn’t perfectly fit one of the advertised categories. In that case, they should still apply because they may fit a category that SOLIS 109 has not yet added to the site.

Interested vendors can use a 60-day free trial to test the platform. After that, a flat monthly fee of $99 allows them to promote their products and services without long-term contract commitments. Vendors will also have four different listings to share content they want consumers to see, such as educational content, videos, and promotional materials.

Burrington is particularly excited that vendors have a new channel to educate consumers. “We strongly promote the importance of providing educational material via our vendors,” he explained. “A better-educated consumer will accept and adopt these products and services more quickly.” He sees several other key benefits for interested vendors, including building a unique new channel for sales and marketing, platform affordability, and the ability to control the narrative surrounding their products or services.

SOLIS 109 is brand new, so the platform is still in its vendor acquisition phase. Burrington expects this phase to last a few months before the site is appropriately populated with vendor content. He anticipates the platform will be publicly launched by the middle of 2025. While the initial focus will be on attracting individual consumers, Burrington expects that the platform will also attract a fair amount of business traffic and plans on adding a business-to-business portal as it expands.

SOLIS 109 seeks to change consumer purchasing habits by educating consumers so they are motivated to purchase environmentally friendly options and removing the roadblocks that make these purchases more difficult. This powerful two-pronged approach could revolutionize how vendors reach the consumers who care about the environment.
