Saudi Aramco boss pulls out of major international energy conference due to Iran conflict, source says

  • Saudi Aramco’s CEO pulled out of CERAWeek to stay in the region as the Iran conflict intensifies. The Strait of Hormuz is effectively shut, energy infrastructure has been hit, and Aramco is rerouting oil and cutting output in response.
  • The disruptions are already hitting real supply. Aramco has reduced production, key facilities across the Gulf have been targeted, and outages in LNG and refining are starting to ripple through global markets.
