RWE expands its wind energy business to Taiwan

As REVE writes, the world’s number two in offshore wind power, RWE, is taking an important spot at Taiwan’s energy and trade fair this year.

  • The Taiwan Strait is an incredibly wind-rich environment that can be capitalized on by companies such as RWE.
  • RWE earlier in the year announced its plan to enter this area of the world through a partnership with the Asia Cement Corporation.
  • These two companies will take the helm in leading the Chu Feng Offshore Wind Project (capacity of 448 megawatts).
