- Costs and a lack of charging infrastructure are two impediments to purchasing an electric vehicle.
- The National Electric Highway Coalition, which is headed by the Edison Electric Institute, brings together more than 50 power companies to make charging stations more available along our nation’s highways.
- The private sector is best equipped to advance clean technology solutions.
“‘[T]he coalition is committed to providing electric vehicle (EV) fast charging ports that will allow the public to drive EVs with confidence along major U.S. travel corridors by the end of 2023,’ the announcement states.”
