Panasonic To Make Tesla Battery Cells With Recycled Material From JB Straubel’s Redwood

  • Panasonic will begin to use recycled materials to construct battery cells for Tesla.
  • The recycled materials will come from Redwood Materials, an EV battery recycling startup headed by JB Straubel, Tesla’s former chief technology officer.
  • Through this partnership Panasonic, Tesla, and Redwood Materials are showing that innovation and entrepreneurship are key to addressing climate change.
