Panasonic plant in De Soto will be ‘largest private investment’ Kansas history

Sydnie Holzfaster, Jonathan Ketz, and Heidi Schmidt of Fox 4 report on a new factory that is coming to Kansas.

  • Panasonic, Tesla’s primary supplier of batteries, will open up a new factory in De Soto, Kansas.
  • The new factory is expected to employ up to 4,000 people, provide more than 16,000 construction jobs, and create $4 billion in investment for the state.
  • Once completed it is completed, the De Soto plant will be Panasonic’s second EV battery factory in America.
