Optimism Is Warranted in the Power Industry in 2022 and Beyond

  • In 2021 we saw innovations and technological breakthroughs in the energy sector, especially in the areas of nuclear fusion, battery storage, and carbon capture and sequestration.
  • In 2022 we can expect to see solar energy leading the way in terms of clean energy capacity.
  • Innovators and entrepreneurs will continue to make advancements in the power sector that will benefit our planet and economy alike.

“The solar project pipeline accounts for the largest share of clean energy development activity in the U.S. with 59,591 MW in the queue, which is 54% of the total. ACP said there are 447 solar projects in advanced development in 46 states, with Texas leading the way with about a fifth of the activity.”
