Nuclear fusion reactor could be here as soon as 2025

As Charles Choi of Space.com writes, a viable nuclear fusion reactor could be fully functional by 2025.

  • Fusion is a terrific source for energy and heat because hydrogen, an important fuel for fusion, is abundant.
  • Nuclear fusion produces zero carbon emissions.
  • Fusion power plants could generate between 250 and 1,000 megawatts of electricity. Current power plants generate 100 to 500 megawatts.
