- Battery Resources has announced that they will open a commercial-scale lithium-ion battery recycling facility in Covington, Georgia later this year.
- The company uses a patented Hydro-to-Cathode recycling process that is 93% cleaner and 59% more affordable than mining and producing new materials.
- The facility is set to open in 2022 and will have the ability to process 30,000 metric tonnes of discarded lithium-ion batteries and scrap per year.
- Private sector leadership is creating a cleaner energy future.
“The company’s long-term plans include opening additional facilities in North America, Europe and Asia to process up to 150,000 metric tonnes of lithium-ion material globally per year.”
