Mining firm backed by Bezos and Gates to begin Greenland drilling

  • The company uses AI and machine learning to find minerals.
  • KoBold Metals expects to drill some 3,000 meters this year.
  • Rare earth metals are essential to powering EVs, solar panels, cellphones, and even fighter jets.
