The Middle East waste-to-energy (WtE) market, valued at $1.78 billion in 2024, is projected to reach $2.48 billion by 2033, expanding at a CAGR of 3.7% as regional governments accelerate landfill reduction and clean energy goals, according to a new Grand View Research analysis.
The United Arab Emirates leads the sector, capturing nearly 47% of 2024 revenue, followed closely by Saudi Arabia. Both countries are leveraging large-scale incineration and gasification facilities to convert municipal solid waste into electricity and heat while advancing their circular economy strategies.
