Microsoft has announced they will be carbon negative by 2030.
Microsoft, like many other corporations, is not becoming more sustainable because of government mandates. They are doing this believe they believe it is the right thing to do, and they are confident their business will continue to thrive. While some claim capitalism ruins the environment, companies are making intentional efforts to produce a cleaner world.
“To ensure that our funding will maximize carbon being taken out of the atmosphere, we are doubling down on scientific verification of each project, and using this RFP to harvest and share the best available science and market intelligence on carbon removal.”
