Laurene Powell Jobs’ $3.5 billion climate campaign

Mike Allen of Axios reports that Laurene Powell Jobs has started a new climate campaign.

  • Laurene Powell Jobs, the widow of Apple founder Steve Jobs, has started a climate action group called the Waverly Street Foundation.
  • The Foundation, which has $3.5 billion in funding, will focus primarily on advancing climate solutions in underserved communities and sunset after ten years.
  • Private sector leaders are advancing durable climate solutions.

“The foundation ‘will focus on initiatives and ideas that will aid underserved communities who are most impacted by climate change,’ an official tells Axios.”
