- SolarCycle has recently raised $30 million in Series A funding for its solar panel recycling operations.
- The company is able to recover 95% of the materials that are in solar panels and their frames including silicon and aluminium.
- With this new funding SolarCycle expects that it will be able to recycle 1 million solar panels annually by the end of this year.
- Private sector innovation is making green energy more sustainable.
“With that funding, Solarcycle expects to expand its capacity to recycle 1 million solar panels annually by the close of this year. A ’vertically integrated, advanced recycling factory’ will follow in 2024, expanding capacity to ’millions of panels.'”
