Gulfstream Leads The Skies In Sustainability

Forbes reports on aircraft manufacturer Gulfstream’s efforts to become a leader in sustainability.

The C3 Take
  • Every gallon of Gulfstream’s sustainable aviation fuel saves at least 60% in carbon dioxide emissions on a life-cycle basis versus traditional petroleum jet fuel.
  • Gulfstream has also developed more efficient and faster aircrafts that emit fewer emissions than other aircrafts.
  • Gulfstream’s sustainability efforts show that the free-market is committed to reducing emissions.

“Since [2009], Gulfstream’s robust sustainability programme has grown to include aircraft operational efficiency, eco-friendly buildings and the use of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) for its corporate, demonstration, customer support and flight test fleets in Savannah. The company even sells SAF to customers of its Long Beach, California, maintenance and completions facility and uses it for its own California-based completions and delivery flights.”
