S&P Global reports that there is a serious financial incentive for companies to lower emissions.
As more and more businesses are disclosing their carbon footprint data, investors will get a clearer picture of company ratings systems. Going green isn’t just great for the planet, it’s great for companies too.
The ratings could complement existing guidelines and provide additional incentives for companies with large carbon emissions to act on climate change, the BIS said.
