GM And Honda Partner To Create Sub-$30,000 Electric Vehicles

Sam Abuelsamid writes in Forbes that General Motors and Honda are partnering to create an electric vehicle that is less than $30,000.

  • Honda and GM say that they will release this car in the 2027.
  • The two companies are already working together to create EVs such as the Honda Prologue and an Acura crossover.
  • High purchasing costs is one of the largest impediments to consumers who are considering the switch to an EV.
  • This partnership will prove beneficial to the deployment of electric vehicles globally and in the United States.


“The costs associated with developing EV technology will probably drive more such partnerships across automakers in the coming years. Ford is already working with Volkswagen and Toyota has partnered with Subaru.”
