Verde Resources has finalized a decade-long licensing agreement with Ergon Asphalt & Emulsions, Inc., granting the continent’s largest asphalt marketer exclusive rights to manufacture and distribute Verde’s BioAsphalt and proprietary emulsifier technologies across the U.S., Canada, and Mexico. The deal includes an option to extend for another ten years and a $2 million strategic investment by Ergon later this month.
This partnership builds on a previous memorandum of understanding and solidifies a long-term plan to scale up carbon-sequestering paving solutions at commercial volumes. Unlike conventional asphalt, Verde’s materials are designed to capture and store CO₂—offering municipalities, contractors, and infrastructure providers a climate-positive alternative.
