Economic freedom, now more than ever

  • In The Heritage Foundation’s 2022 Index of Economic Freedom the United States was ranked 25th overall, our lowest score to date.
  • Internationally economic freedom declined, due primarily to government responses to COVID-19.
  • Solutions that are rooted in economic freedom provide the best pathway to reduceing global emissions and increasing human flourishing.
  • Governments across the world should look for ways to increase economic freedom in order to boost the health of the planet and its citizens.
