Cisco commits $100 million to fight climate change

Ina Fried of Axios reports that Cisco has committed $100 million to curb climate change.

  • The free-market and private sector are leading the way in reducing our emissions.
  • Many activists are pressuring companies such as Cisco to end all business relations with fossil fuels. This approach is misguided and will not benefit the environment. The best way to lower emissions is by innovating fossil fuels, not rejecting them.

“Cisco is the latest tech giant to announce a big environmental push. The networking company said today that its foundation will invest $100 million over the next decade to fund projects that reduce carbon emissions as well as community awareness efforts.”
