California’s Blackouts Show Nuclear’s Importance

As Sam Rutzick on RealClearEnergy points out, nuclear power could solve California’s blackout problem.

  • California has the fifth highest economy in the world. An economy of this size should not experience unreliable energy.
  • Renewable energy is great, but it cannot be the sole provider of electricity for an entire state.
  • Nuclear energy is a non-carbon emitting energy source that is more reliable than renewables.
