Wall Street Journal reports that California will ban the sale of gas powered cars starting in 2035.
- California will require that all new cars sold will be electric vehicles.
- This is a lofty goal considering the brown outs that California experienced in August of 2020.
- Mandates such as these will hurt lower and middle-income families and drive up costs.
“A shift from petroleum products, such as gasoline and diesel, to electricity will require a new statewide charging infrastructure, and could impact the viability of the state’s thousands of gasoline stations. And it will need to upgrade a grid already in need of significant overhaul.”
