Sulzer Chemtech writes in Power on one company that is aiming to create biomass pellets that are a carbon-neutral alternative to coal.
- Oslo, Norway-based Arbaflame is aiming to produce 70,000 tonnes of “bio-coal” pellets per year.
- Bio-coal pellets are carbon neutral and made from wood biomass and can be used to replace coal
- Sulzer Chemtech, another European company, will use innovative separation technology to improve energy efficiency and decrease the environmental footprint of Arbaflame’s facility.
