Beewise has $118 million in funding and a plan to save the bees

Jordan McDonald of Emerging Tech Brew writes about one startup that is saving the bees.

The C3 Take
  • Bees play an essential role in pollinating our plants, but their population has been rapidly declining due to climate change, pesticide use, and disease.
  • Beewise is a company who has made it their goal to save the bees.
  • Using an innovative beehive that can track food needs, disease, and even colony-collapse disorder, Beewise can reduce the number of failed colonies to just 8%.
  • Private sector innovation is saving the bees and protecting our environment.

“California-based startup Beewise aims to help address the issue by using a combination of technologies to automate oversight of beehives for beekeepers. The company has raised over $118.7 million in funding since its founding in 2018, including an $80 million funding round in March of this year.”
