Amazon To Become World’s Largest Corporate Renewables Investor

Forbes’ Felicia Jackson reports that Amazon is set to become the world’s largest corporate renewable investor.

  • Amazon, which has time again made strides to lower its emissions, has made plans to invest in 26 utility-scale wind and solar plants.
  • There is competition amongst different corporations to invest in low carbon energy projects.
  • This competition has led to corporate sustainability not seen before.

“Amazon has announced plans to invest in 26 utility scale wind and solar plants generating 3.4GW of electricity. That will bring its renewables capacity to 4GW of renewables, making it the world’s largest corporate buyer of clean energy, outstripping Facebook and Google.”
