  • DroneSeed is a Seattle-based startup that replants forests that are lost to wildfires.
  • The company incorporates cameras and lasers to target areas for reforestation and then deploys its aerial drones to reseed the forest.
  • Since 2019 DroneSeed has planted thousands of acres worth of trees.
  • The company has recently received $36 million in new capital and will use it to expand operations.

“The company’s current U.S. focus includes Washington, Oregon, California, Colorado, Montana, Nevada, Arizona, New Mexico and Idaho, as well as forests in British Columbia, New Zealand and Australia.”
