- Vogtle Units 3 and 4 are the first new nuclear reactors to be built in the U.S. in decades.
- Unit 3, which is expected to produce power in May or June, has started splitting atoms and generating heat.
- This is the first reactor to do so in seven years when the Tennessee Valley Authority’s Watts Bar Unit 2 started splitting atoms in 2016.
- Nuclear power is safe, clean, and reliable.
