David Iaconangelo of E&E News reports on a new nuclear hydrogen group.
- The hydrogen and nuclear energy industries have come together to advance a global partnership.
- Known as the Nuclear Hydrogen Initiative, the 40-member group will advocate for policies that support nuclear hydrogen production.
- Hydrogen, which is commonly made with fossil fuels, is an energy dense fuel carrier that could play an important role in decarbonizing key sectors of the economy.

“Members of the initiative include the Nuclear Energy Institute, nuclear operators like Constellation Energy and Entergy Nuclear, hydrogen equipment suppliers like Bloom Energy and Siemens AG, hydrogen vehicle producer Nikola Corp., and researchers at the Idaho National Laboratory and the National Nuclear Laboratory. The Electric Power Research Institute, nongovernmental organizations like the Clean Air Task Force and several vendors of advanced reactors also are participants.”
