Ocean plastic pollution is a huge — but solvable — problem

Winnie Lau, on The Hill, highlights ways in which we can reduce plastic pollution in the sea.

  • There are roughly 11 million tons of plastic floating in our ocean each year.
  • While this number is intimidating, this problem is solvable through public-private partnerships, changes in consumer behavior, and developing waste management systems in developing nations.
